ATLANTA -- England have made three changes for their World Cup semifinal against Argentina with Morgan Rogers, Djed Spence and Reece James all starting.

Rogers starts on the right wing in place of Noni Madueke, while James is at right-back with Ezri Konsa dropping out while Spence comes into the team in place of Nico O'Reilly at left-back.

This is Rogers' second start of the tournament after he was named in the No. 10 spot for Panama.

The right-wing has been an issue for England at this World Cup with Saka and Madueke swapping in and out there.

Saka has been managing an Achilles issue at the tournament so Madueke started against Croatia and kept his spot for Ghana, but then Saka was back for Panama.

Madueke returned for Congo DR, then it was Saka for Mexico and Madueke again for Norway. Now it's Rogers' turn.

The last time he started a match for England there was in their 1-0 defeat to Japan in March.

James' return will come as a welcome boost for Thomas Tuchel. He started their first two matches of the tournament, but a hamstring injury kept him sidelined for the games against Panama, Congo DR and Mexico.

He was fit to be used as a second half substitute in the win over Norway. Konsa started that match against Norway but drops to the bench with John Stones keeping his place.

Spence is back at left-back for the first time since the Ghana match. He made an eye-catching impact off the bench against Norway last time out and has got ahead of O'Reilly for this semifinal.
