Leandro Trossard has completed a permanent transfer from Arsenal to Besiktas.
The Belgium international, who arrived in north London from Brighton in January 2023, played a pivotal role in Mikel Arteta’s squad last season, helping the Gunners secure their first Premier League title in 22 years.
Trossard’s contributions included six goals in 31 league appearances, notably scoring the late winner against West Ham in May, a crucial victory that kept Arsenal firmly in the title race.
His final outing for the club came in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, where he assisted Kai Havertz’s early goal in a 1-1 draw in Budapest before Arsenal ultimately lost on penalties.

A statement on Arsenal’s website said: “Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Leo for his valued contribution to the club and wish him all the best for his future.”
During his time at Arsenal, Trossard made 174 appearances across all competitions, netting 36 goals.
His dramatic 83rd-minute winner at the London Stadium in May, when he converted Martin Odegaard’s pass, remains a highlight, a moment that prevented City from gaining ground and was followed by VAR controversy denying West Ham a late equaliser.
He joins the Turkish outfit after featuring for Belgium at this summer’s World Cup, reaching the quarter-finals before suffering a 2-1 defeat by Spain last Friday.
