Manchester United have already thrown a spanner in Leeds United’s summer plans after persuading Karl Darlow to swap Elland Road for Old Trafford on a free transfer.

The Red Devils recently signed Youri Tielemans for a fee of £35m from Aston Villa after triggering the release clause in the Belgian’s contract.

The former Leeds winger’s performances in the latter half of last season, despite West Ham’s relegation, have made sought-after player this summer.

He has also attracted interest from Saudi Arabia, but the winger is likely to prefer to play in the Premier League rather than move to the Middle East.
