The 28-year-old is well aware that he will not be the number one goalkeeper at Elland Road next season and is keen to move away as a result.
The Brazilian wants to play regular football again, having lost his place to the now departed Karl Darlow in the second half of last season.
Daniel Farke is also hoping to move the former Lyon man out the door, with both parties keen to end what has been a difficult move to West Yorkshire.
Torino have emerged as potential suitors for Perri in recent days, with the Italian side possibly set to provide an escape route for the out-of-favour star.
Leeds are working on goalkeeping additions of their own, which will re-affirm Perri's place at the bottom of the pecking order.
Torino have issue to overcome with Lucas Perri deal
Torino are keen to give Perri the chance to impress in Serie A next term, but they must first overcome a difference in ideas with Leeds if they are to strike a deal.
The Italian outfit are hoping to sign the gloveman on an initial season-long loan deal, but Football Insider revealed earlier this week that the Whites would significantly prefer a permanent sale if possible.
The West Yorkshire outfit want to get the struggling star off their books for good, rather than sanction a temporary exit.
However, that may create an issue for Torino, who are unlikely to have the financial power to match what Leeds would want for the shot-stopper.
With that in mind, there is still work to be done if the two parties are to reach any sort of agreement ahead of next season.
Nico Elvedi opens door to Leeds move
Football Insider revealed earlier this week that Borussia Monchengladbach are "resigned" to losing centre-back Nico Elvedi this summer, amid strong interest from Leeds.
The Whites have been linked with the 29-year-old on several occasions in recent years, after he previously played under Farke at Monchengladbach.
The Swiss international is out of contract with the Bundesliga side in the summer of 2027, and is keen to explore a new challenge as a result.
Elvedi is understood to be keen on the idea of a move to the Premier League, and Leeds are in the box seat for a deal at the moment.
