The 23-year-old midfielder, who joined Newcastle’s academy in 2016, spent the first half of the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Crewe, scoring three goals in 20 appearances.
He returned to Newcastle and made his first-team debut in a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth.
He also had loan spells at Hartlepool United, Exeter City and MK Dons, and spent last season on loan in League One at Leyton Orient and Bradford City.
