Ipswich Town have completed the signing of former Birmingham City winger Tegan McGowan on a free transfer.
The Tractor Girls announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website earlier today.
The 22-year-old winger joins Ipswich Town after leaving former club Birmingham City earlier this summer. She has signed a two-year deal at Portman Road.
McGowan spent two years with Birmingham City and played a part in the club’s Barclays WSL2 title win last season. The winger featured for Blues in the first half of the 2025/2026 campaign before joining Southampton on loan in the New Year.
The youngster spent her early days on the books of Barclays Women’s Super League heavyweights Chelsea before she enjoyed a productive spell in Barclays WSL2 with Charlton Athletic. She joined latest club Birmingham City in summer 2024.
After sealing her move to Ipswich Town, McGowan said “The club’s ambitions match my own and the style of play suits my game well too.
“I know some of the girls here already which helps when joining a new club, and I’m really excited to get to work.”
McGowan is Ipswich Town’s 12th signing of what has been an incredibly busy summer transfer window.
