Leeds United have taken the first step to replacing Pascal Struijk. The Dutch defender was the first official transfer exit of this summer window.
Brighton swooped in and took advantage of Leeds’ situation; Struijk was in the final year of his deal and the club needed funds ahead of the PSR deadline. They were able to get a decent fee for him in the end.

The 49ers moved quickly to secure his replacement, as they have agreed a deal to sign Tarik Muharemovic.
The 23-year old is highly-rated across Europe, and was wanted by Sunderland and Bournemouth this summer before Leeds wrapped up the move. They now have a replacement in the backline.
West Ham star could be open to Leeds United switch
With Leeds United set to continue with three center backs next season, they could be in the market for another defender.
Reports have suggested that either one of Max Wober or Sebastiaan Bornauw could be sold to make way. Mick Brown of Football Insider has suggested that West Ham’s Konstantinos Mavropanos could be keen on a move.
“Mavropanos is going to leave West Ham this summer, so there is already registered interest,” Brown said.
“Given the way he played in the final third of the season, despite West Ham’s struggles, if he can keep that up consistently then he might be a good option for somebody.
“Leeds, for example, have him on their radar because of his experience in the Premier League and his availability which means they could do a deal at a good price.
“They want to sign at least one centre-back, so somebody who has just dropped out of the Premier League falls into the bracket they will be looking at.
“If West Ham are prepared to let him go as I’m told they are, then a move to Leeds might be something that appeals to him to get back to playing at the top level.”

Konstantinos Mavropanos fits the profile
The recruitment team at Elland Road has done well with signings since last season.
They have brought in many players who fit the physical requirements to succeed in the Premier League. Konstantinos Mavropanos is exactly the type of player required.
He is tall, good in the air and decent a defending in his box.
Leeds could have a solid core of defenders if they move for the West Ham star in the summer.
But it will all depend on if the Hammers are open to selling him, and if the fee would be within the 49ers’ range.
