Here's everything you need to know about Manchester City's pre-season plans and the players who will be out to impress Enzo Maresca...

The first batch of players to report back for City pre-season will get together on Monday, July 20

In line with FIFPro recommendations, City usually give their players at least four weeks off in summer, and so most of their squad will be enjoying some rest after the World Cup and will not be in Manchester for the first day of pre-season.

However, there will still be plenty of big-name players in attendance for Enzo Maresca's first session.

Gianluigi Donnarumma, Rico Lewis, Jack Grealish, Kalvin Phillips, Phil Foden, Nico Gonzalez and Savinho were not involved in this summer's World Cup and so could all be present on Monday.

In terms of the youngsters who could be in attendance, Jeremy Monga could meet his new teammates after his big-money move from Leicester City.

Ryan McAidoo, Reigan Heskey, Harrison Miles and Teddie Lamb all starred in the Under-18s side that won the FA Youth Cup last season and they will be hoping for a chance to impress the new City head coach this summer.

City's 2026 pre-season will see them embark on a tour of Asia.

They will play Inter Milan on Saturday, August 1 before a clash against a K-League XI on Wednesday, August 5. They round off their trip with a friendly against Atletico Madrid on Sunday, August 9.

Then there is the season curtain-raiser against Arsenal in the Community Shield on Sunday, August 16, before the Premier League kicks off the following week.
