All the latest transfer and contract news from Brighton and Hove Albion

Brighton have confirmed 11 of their academy players have signed their first professional contracts - including Tate Ferdinand, Rio Ferdinand's son.

Tate, 17, has been with Brighton since July 2024 and mainly plays as a left-sided centre back.

He has featured for the under-18s as captain and was previously said to be a "leader in the dressing room."

Tate is said to be comfortable on the ball, moves well and has good long and short range distribution.

Tate's older brother Lorenz Ferdinand, a goalkeeper, is also part of Brighton's youth set-up.

Lorenz joined Albion as an under-12. The goalkeeper spent time on loan with Havant & Waterlooville at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, before rejoining them on loan during the 2025/26 season.

Last season Tate made 43 appearances in the Under-18 Premier League with two gaols and one assist.
