Man United learn asking price to sign 'extraordinary' French midfielder - report

Real Madrid are ready to listen to offers for Manchester United target Eduardo Camavinga.

Speaking on Ruben Martin’s YouTube channel, Spanish journalist Raman Alvarez de Mon has revealed that Madrid are prepared to sell Camavinga for around £68 million this summer.

Camavinga, hailed as ‘extraordinary‘ by Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti, has endured a difficult spell since joining Los Blancos from Rennes in 2021, failing to secure a regular starting berth.

Manager Jose Mourinho’s arrival is unlikely to change that. Bernardo Silva’s signing is also expected to increase competition for places in Madrid’s midfield.

Camavinga appears prepared to fight for his place, but could still leave Madrid this summer if he is not given assurances over regular playing time next season.

The Angola-born midfielder missed out on France’s 2026 World Cup squad and would only regain his place by playing regularly.

United would be ready to pounce on the opportunity to sign him if he eventually decides to leave Madrid.

Camavinga fits United’s recruitment strategy perfectly, as his versatility allows him to excel in multiple midfield roles while contributing both offensively and defensively.

His £68m asking price would also represent good value for United, given the inflated nature of the transfer market, his age and quality.

However, he needs to open the door to a move soon, with United already eyeing other targets.

The Mancunian giants have been linked with Camavinga’s international team-mate Manu Kone, but have yet to make a formal approach for the Roma midfielder.

Bournemouth’s Alex Scott and Brighton & Hove Albion’s Carlos Baleba also remain on their radar, although a deal for either player could prove more expensive than one for Camavinga.
