Fabrizio Ravanelli explains why Juve should not take Vlahovic back

Fabrizio Ravanelli does not want Dusan Vlahovic to return to Juventus, and he has explained his reasons as the Serbian striker remains linked with a possible comeback to the Allianz Stadium this summer.

Luciano Spalletti has never hidden his admiration for Vlahovic and believes the Serbian is the best striker currently available at Juventus. However, the club were unable to renew his contract because they could not meet his demands, leaving his future uncertain.

Ravanelli questions possible return

Vlahovic remains without a club and has surprisingly not found another top team willing to sign him, which has opened the possibility of a return to Juventus. The Bianconeri would reportedly consider bringing him back if he accepts their conditions, but Ravanelli does not believe it would be the correct decision.

The former Fiorentina striker gave his best efforts during his time at Juventus and showed moments of quality, but Ravanelli believes he may not receive another opportunity to prove himself in Turin. The former Juventus player feels the club needs footballers who are fully committed to wearing the shirt.

Concerns over Vlahovic’s attitude

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Ravanelli said:

“I’m not enthusiastic about it for many reasons. I don’t think he’s a suitable player for Spalletti’s football and, in addition to the technical and physical difficulties, I didn’t like his attitude. Juventus needs players who really want this shirt. He has always looked for other solutions, thinking above all about the economic aspect. He wouldn’t play for Bayern, Real Madrid, Manchester City or Inter today.”

Ravanelli believes Juventus must prioritise players who are completely focused on the club’s ambitions. While Vlahovic remains a talented striker, the former Juventus forward feels that his previous decisions and performances mean a reunion may not be the right move.

The Serbian could still have the opportunity to return to Juventus if both parties find an agreement. However, questions remain over whether his style suits Spalletti’s approach and whether the club should invest in bringing back a player who previously left despite their efforts to keep him.
