Besiktas have emerged as the leading contenders to sign Dusan Vlahovic this summer, with the Turkish club reportedly willing to offer the striker a contract worth 10m euros net per season now that he is a free agent. However, the Super Lig side is also interested in another Juventus player.
Vlahovic remains one of Besiktas’ primary transfer targets, but negotiations between the clubs could extend beyond the Serbian striker. The Turkish side is also looking to strengthen other areas of their squad ahead of the new season.
Besiktas targets another Juventus player
According to Sky Sports Italia, Besiktas are interested in signing Juan Cabal from Juventus. Vincenzo Italiano, who has recently taken charge of the club, is keen to recruit players with Serie A experience and believes Cabal could make a positive impact on his team.
Italiano highly regards the defender, but Juventus appear ready to move on from him following his disappointing performance in the Champions League against Galatasaray. The Bianconeri are prepared to reshape their squad and view Cabal as one of the players who could leave this summer.
If Cabal remains at Juventus, he could struggle for regular playing time, making a transfer an attractive option for both the player and the club.
Juventus open to offers for Cabal
Besiktas has the financial resources to complete new signings, and Juventus will hope the Turkish club submit an offer that reflects Cabal’s value. A suitable bid would allow the Bianconeri to conclude negotiations quickly and continue their own transfer business.
For now, Juventus remain open to selling the defender to other clubs as well. However, despite some enquiries, there have been very few serious approaches for his signature.
The coming weeks will determine whether Besiktas formalise their interest in Cabal alongside their pursuit of Vlahovic. Juventus will be hoping that interest develops into a concrete offer as they continue to reshape their squad before the transfer window closes.
