Manchester United are interested in Crystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr, according to Foot Mercato.
United have made enquiries about the possibility of signing Sarr, but are not prioritising a move for him.
The Senegalese forward has supported United since childhood and could be tempted to join the club if they step up their interest.
United unlikely to sign Sarr
Sarr, described as ‘special‘ by former Watford captain Troy Deeney, helped Palace win the UEFA Conference League, the club’s first-ever European title, last season.
He finished as the competition’s top scorer with nine goals and was named in the Team of the Season. He also scored nine goals and provided one assist in the Premier League.
Sarr carried that form onto the international stage, chipping in with four goals and two assists in four appearances for Senegal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
He is primarily a right winger but can operate anywhere across the frontline. He has also played several times as an attacking midfielder.
Palace are likely to demand a sizeable fee for the Senegalese forward, given his form last season and the fact he still has three years remaining on his contract.
United are keen to sign a left winger this summer, but have adopted a disciplined approach in the transfer market. They are unlikely to pay a hefty fee for a 28-year-old.
Instead, the Mancunian giants are likely to prioritise a move for Sarr’s international team-mate Iliman Ndiaye.
The Everton forward is two years younger than Sarr and has operated mainly as a left winger, although his natural position is on the right.
That said, United are only expected to sign a new winger if Marcus Rashford leaves the club. A departure is proving difficult to secure at the moment.
Manager Michael Carrick is prepared to reintegrate Rashford into the squad if he remains at the club.
