Euro giants make official enquiry over availability of 75-app Man Utd man as INEOS open door to sale

Juventus have approached Manchester United to gauge the feasibility of a deal for Joshua Zirkzee.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian giants have been made aware that a sale is possible this summer.

Joshua Zirkzee: The state of play

United value the 25-year-old in the region of £30-34 million, having shelled out £36.5 million when signing him from Bologna in July 2024.

It’s said that INEOS are open to a ‘creative’ deal structure, which would presumably see Juventus pay a reduced fee upfront.

Zirkzee is tied to Old Trafford until 2029, but has struggled to make a positive impact in the chances he’s been awarded over the last two seasons.

He has made 75 appearances for United in total, returning only nine goals and four assists.

How has Zirkzee fared as of late?

Last term, game time was incredibly hard to come by for the forward.

United entered the campaign with an entirely new frontline via the additions of Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha, leaving Zirkzee to navigate an uphill battle for minutes.

Add that to the fact that the side had no European football on the schedule and that they exited both cup competitions at the earliest stages, and fringe players like the Dutchman were relying on Premier League cameos to try and stake their claim.

Zirkzee ended 2025/2026 having made just five league starts and 19 appearances as a substitute, while being an unused option for 12 games.

10 of those outings came under Michael Carrick, who granted the attacker 127 minutes of action throughout the second half of the season.

It’s now looking increasingly likely that Marcus Rashford will be reintegrated into the squad in the coming weeks, meaning Zirkzee faces even more threat to the role he wants to play.
