Michael Carrick's overhaul at Old Trafford is rapidly picking up speed. Ahead of their second pre-season fixture against Norway's Rosenborg this Friday, the newly appointed full-time boss has already infused the squad with several new additions.
The recruitment drive has yielded impressive early results, highlighted by the shock acquisition of Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa, who joins former Chelsea player Andrey Santos.
Veteran shot-stopper Karl Darlow was also lured away from Leeds to provide back-up between the posts, while the capture of highly-touted Spurs prospect Tynan Thompson prove that the Manchester United administration is equally focused on long-term growth.
Recent news, however, has shifted focus toward a possible exit. Elsewhere, United have been given a welcome boost in their chase for an another summer signing.
Joshua Zirkzee interest
United striker Joshua Zirkzee has attracted interest from Juventus, as the Serie A outfit considers a bid for the Dutch forward. Zirkzee has been persistently linked with a return to Italy after failing to make his mark in the Premier League since arriving at Old Trafford in 2024 for £36.5million from Bologna.
While he has managed just five goals in 56 Premier League outings, the 25-year-old's reputation in Italy appears to have remained strong. Gazzetta dello Sport report that Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali and sporting director Marco Ottolini are seeking to replace Dusan Vlahovic, who was recently released.

Zirkzee is understood to have received 'texts, calls and video calls' as the Serie A heavyweights explored his availability. Juve's preferred target is believed to be PSG's Kolo Muani, but their £34m offer has not yet been accepted as the Parisians attempt to secure a higher fee.
Zirkzee featured in United's opening pre-season fixture of the summer and failed to get on the scoresheet as Carrick's side suffered defeat against Wrexham. In April, it was claimed that Zirkzee was 'intent' on remaining at Old Trafford beyond the summer, but it appears he could be departing.
Alex Scott contract
United may have received a boost in their pursuit of Alex Scott after he turned down a new contract proposal from Bournemouth. The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford this summer.
The Cherries have Scott contracted until 2028 and have attempted to extend his deal. According to Sky Sports, however, he is not presently willing to accept those terms, with his representatives having rejected a new offer.

A release clause for Scott has been mentioned, but with nothing signed, Scott is anticipated to cost any suitors around £60m. United's interest in the midfielder comes as Carrick is reportedly seeking a third addition to the engine room. Scott appears to be the concrete option, as is AS Roma's Manu Kone.
Scott's club team-mate Tyler Adams has similarly been mentioned as a potential Old Trafford recruit. Arsenal have also been connected with Scott, though Newcastle United's Bruno Guimaraes appears to be their primary objective.
