Player approves Manchester United exit – Agent connection key

Joshua Zirkzee

Joshua Zirkzee of Manchester United warms up prior to the UEFA Europa League 2024-25 match between Real Sociedad and Manchester United at Reale Arena on March 06, 2025 in San Sebastian, Spain.

Joshua Zirkzee’s Manchester United exit is gathering pace and the player has expressed his willingness to depart.

Earlier this week, Sport Witness covered Juventus’ renewed interest in the striker. The Old Lady made initial contact for his signature and were exploring the idea of a loan deal.

AS Roma tried to sign him on similar terms in January. Manchester United were against loaning him out and were only seeking his permanent departure. This ruled out his return to Italy, but it is believed things are different now.

Juve’s move is advancing and they have received positive signs from the player.

Agent connection can drive deal

Today’s Gazzetta dello Sport covers Zirkzee’s situation in a bit more detail. They clarify that the Dutchman is now viewed as a player who can play alongside Randal Kolo Muani, instead of being an alternative to the Frenchman.

There is confirmation contact has been made, and Gazzetta add Zirkzee has expressed his desire to leave Manchester United. He is keen on returning to Serie A in the hope of getting his career back on track.

The newspaper are sure that Juve want a loan deal. They have a very good relationship with Zirkzee’s agent Kia Joorabchian. He also manages Douglas Luiz, who is still in Turin after loans at Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa.

Another important aspect is Ricky Massara’s admiration for the player. At Roma last season, he ‘spent more hours on the phone with Zirkzee’s entourage’ than with his own friends. That is a sign of his good working relationship with Joorabchian.

Initially, Zirkzee was only seen as an alternative to Kolo Muani. However, Juve face difficulties in a move for Mateo Pellegrino, leaving the Netherlands man as a more viable option.

Our take: Convincing United could be difficult

This summer, there is still a chance Manchester United will find a permanent solution for Zirkzee. Attacking players like Crysencio Summerville and Morgan Rogers have gone for huge amounts, and the market is strong.

That is why it would make sense for the Red Devils to wait and see if any opportunities show up. Zirkzee attracted Premier League interest in January, and that could return.
