Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane led from the front, combining for 13 goals for Thomas Tuchel’s side. Kane’s six goals saw him surpass Gary Lineker as England’s record scorer at World Cup finals, while Bellingham has surged into the top three.
Bellingham scored seven times for England in North America, including brilliant braces against Mexico and Norway in the knockout rounds. He also scored a sublime solo effort against France, to make his campaign the most prolific single tournament ever by an Englishman.
Bukayo Saka has also soared up the list after a hat-trick against France in the third/fourth place play-off.
