Manchester United return to action on Friday afternoon as Michael Carrick's side travel to Norway to face Rosenborg.
They will be hoping to bounce back from the last result after losing 1-0 to Wrexham in the first match of pre-season in Helsinki, Finland.
The Red Devils will be without several first-team players, despite the World Cup now being over. Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martínez (to name but a few) will be out of action for at least three weeks, but both dealt with injury issues in the final days of the competition.
Every other Manchester United player who was involved in the latter stages of the World Cup, including Senne Lammens and Youri Tielemans, will remain out of action, too. They could return later this month.
There will still be several big names in Norway, though. New signing Andrey Santos will be hoping to impress once again after a good performance against Wrexham. Harry Maguire will likely captain the side once again, too.
The biggest decision for Michael Carrick to make is JJ Gabriel's involvement. He has been pictured in first-team training in the lead-up to the match against Rosenborg and is expected to travel with the team.
As was the case during the first match, Michael Carrick is expected to make 11 changes at half-time, meaning there are plenty of opportunities for minutes.
Tom Heaton will likely keep his place between the sticks, although the second-half XI could see some changes. After the Wrexham match, Radek Vitek explained how he wanted to play first-team football.
"I'm ready to go somewhere again and hopefully be number one," said Vitek. "I'm ready for both [a loan or permanent sale], to be fair. It depends on what the club wants and also on the options.
"There has been a few interests on the table. We're hoping to choose the best one and hopefully it will happen soon."
Karl Darlow – another new signing – could replace him for the second 45 minutes, while Dermot Mee will also be an option after signing a contract extension in the summer.
In defence, Carrick will be expected to stick with the same backline. The midfield ahead could see some change, though, after Tyler Fletcher impressed in the second half against Wrexham while wearing the captain's armband.
Bryan Mbeumo, Patrick Dorgu and Joshua Zirkzee seem destined to keep their places in the frontline, with little other first-team options to choose from for the time being.
