Juventus are exploring alternative attacking options as their pursuit of Randal Kolo Muani continues to stall, with Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee emerging as a potential target.
The Bianconeri have maintained an interest in Zirkzee since his impressive spell at Bologna. Juventus had hoped to bring the Dutch striker to Turin when they appointed Thiago Motta as manager, following the pair’s successful time together at the club. However, Manchester United won the race for his signature before Juventus could complete a deal.
Juventus consider alternative options
Zirkzee’s time at Old Trafford has yet to develop as many had expected, and the Premier League club could be willing to allow him to leave during the current transfer window. That situation has reopened the possibility of a move to Juventus, who remain keen admirers of the forward.
According to Calciomercato, Juventus have requested information about Zirkzee as they assess alternative options in attack. While Kolo Muani remains the club’s primary target, the Serie A giants are preparing contingency plans should negotiations fail to produce an agreement.
The report suggests Juventus are unwilling to meet Paris Saint-Germain’s valuation of the French striker. At the same time, the Ligue 1 champions have shown no indication that they are prepared to reduce their asking price, making a deal increasingly difficult to complete.
Zirkzee remains a viable solution
If Juventus are unable to reach an agreement for Kolo Muani, they are expected to turn their attention towards another striker, with Zirkzee viewed as a strong candidate to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.
The Dutch forward is already familiar with Italian football after his successful spell in Serie A, and a return to the league could provide the ideal opportunity to rediscover his best form. A move to the Allianz Stadium would also reunite him with a league in which he previously excelled, offering Juventus an experienced option as they continue their search for attacking reinforcements.
