Fenerbahce have reportedly launched a ‘full-scale operation’ to try and sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.
That’s according to Fanatik (relayed by Turkish Football), which adds that the Super Lig outfit are ready to facilitate ‘one of the summer’s most explosive European transfers’.
Marcus Rashford: The state of play
It will take some convincing, though.
While United are more than ready to negotiate Rashford’s sale, the player himself is said to have reservations about making the switch to Turkey.

He would rather continue plying his trade in one of Europe’s top five leagues, where he has spent the entirety of his career up to this point.
The 28-year-old enjoyed a stellar campaign while on loan with Barcelona in 2025/2026, during which he returned 14 goals and 14 assists in 49 appearances across all competitions.
Rashford also ended his stint with La Liga and Spanish Super Cup winners’ medals to his name, making it no surprise he was so keen on returning to the Camp Nou on a permanent basis.

Barcelona uninterested in permanent Rashford deal
However, Barcelona opted against activating his £26 million buy option, and instead shelled out a whopping £60m for Anthony Gordon.
This week, they also finalised the arrival of another winger in the form of Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund for £25m.
As a result, Rashford has been facing an uncertain situation throughout the summer.
He put talks over his future on hold until after the World Cup was done, so United fans are expecting more clarification when he finishes his holidays.
Marcus Rashford said he will not think about his #mufc future while on World Cup duty with England:
“As a person, I live in the moment, I was very clear with everyone involved before the World Cup. I wanted it done before, and if not, then I won't deal with it until after,… pic.twitter.com/XjjOVTXvY9

It’s expected that the United graduate, whose No.10 shirt has since been inherited by Matheus Cunha, will report to Carrington in the coming weeks to be reintegrated into the squad.

The door remains open for a sale if a suitable offer arrives before the deadline, albeit there would have to be enough time for INEOS to secure a replacement.
To make matters more difficult, his £40m release clause expired last week, so any new fee would need to be negotiated.
