Dusan Vlahovic could be set to resume his spell with Juventus after fresh talks were reportedly opened over a return to the club following the expiry of his previous contract at the end of last month.
The striker had been exploring opportunities away from Turin after becoming a free agent, but no club from Europe’s top leagues has come forward with a move for his signature. That has left Vlahovic reassessing his options as he considers the next step in his career.
Juventus reopen discussions
Besiktas are reported to be the only club to have offered Vlahovic a lucrative contract. However, the Serbian forward is believed to feel that he is still too young to move to Turkiye and has instead been waiting for interest from another leading European side.
In recent months, clubs including Barcelona and Bayern Munich were linked with the striker, but neither move has materialised. According to Tuttojuve, Vlahovic has now contacted Juventus to reopen discussions over a new contract and a return to the squad for the 2026/2027 season.
The report suggests both parties are now exploring the possibility of extending their relationship after the forward was unable to secure the move he had hoped for elsewhere.
Return could reshape Juventus plans
A new agreement for Vlahovic would be welcomed by Luciano Spalletti, who has consistently rated the striker highly and considers him the best forward at the club. If negotiations progress successfully, Juventus could head into the new campaign with Vlahovic once again leading the attack.
His potential return could also have an impact on the club’s transfer strategy. Juventus remain interested in signing Randal Kolo Muani, but bringing Vlahovic back into the squad would create increased competition for places.
Should both forwards be available, the report indicates that Juventus could look to move Jonathan David on during the current transfer window. The coming weeks will determine whether Vlahovic’s proposed return is finalised and how it influences the Bianconeri’s plans ahead of the new season.
