In accordance with Paddy Keogh at Attacking Football, Irish-qualified youth Star David Eze has made the switch to the red side of Manchester.
Eze is the latest high-profile academy arrival for United; reportedly, Arsenal also made an offer for the midfielder before he selected United.
The midfielder has been a target at Carrington since it became clear he was to leave City earlier this summer. As Eze rejected a contract extension for the Blues, United will be expected to pay out a compensation fee for his exit.
Eze's Irish Roots.
After moving to Manchester from Clondalkin at the age of 6, Eze currently holds dual citizenship for both Ireland and England. Last season, he appeared 9 times for England.
🚨 Manchester United are also closing in on Manchester City youth midfielders David Eze and Karim Cassim.
Ineos are currently negotiating development compensation fees with City and Liverpool.

According to Attacking Football, however, Eze still holds close ties with Ireland. With his father still living in Ireland, he is believed to be very proud of his Irish roots and is open to representing the Boys in Green in the future.

Should he decide to tog out for Ireland, Eze would enter a long line of successful Irish talents playing for the Red Devils. Stars such as Roy Keane, Denis Irwin and Paul McGrath all made lasting impacts for both club and country.
Other Irish qualified players in Carrington.
Eze will join a number of fellow Irish qualified stars in Carringdon, including two fellow dual citizens, Jacob Devaney and JJ Gabriel.
Gabriel, 16, is the son of former Irish international Joe O'Cearuill, who appeared twice for Ireland in 2007. The attacker appeared 32 times for United's U18 side last season, bagging 29 goals. In addition, he also gained two caps for England.
Devany, 19, is another defensive midfielder who has made waves at United. After a loan spell at St Mirren last season, Devaney will return to Old Trafford ahead of next season. Unlike Gabriel and Eze, Devaney has come up through the FAI system. He made 5 appearances for the Boys in Green last season, and could have a lasting impression on Eze.
Paul Pogba comparisons.
Playing as a defensive midfielder, Attacking Football has described Eze as one of the standout players of his generation.
Another young, exciting talent joining the club; this time it’s David Eze, a City quality midfielder. Love this type of deal. I hope we keep doing more, but David Eze, welcome to the biggest club in Manchester 🔴🔴🔥🔥✨✨ https://t.co/voPstrOh68 pic.twitter.com/87YCpUfRvM
