Manchester United are reportedly interested in young Club Brugge centre-back Nicolo Tresoldi.
The Premier League giants are primarily focused on their midfield reboot this summer, but they must also pay attention to some of their other departments, especially where vacancies are expected to open up.
For instance, Joshua Zirkzee could be on his way out of the club after two underwhelming campaigns, hence why a new attacker will be required.
Man United tracking Nicolo Tresoldi
Following a convincing first season at Old Trafford, Benjamin Sesko has cemented himself as the club’s ultimate first choice in attack.
This was partially because Zirkzee wasn’t able to convince either Ruben Amorim or Michael Carrick, as he remained on the bench for the bulk of the previous campaign.
With the Dutchman potentially signing for his longtime suitors Juventus, United are already searching the market for a new striker.
According to HLN correspondent Tomas Taecke, MUFC have set their sights on Tresoldi, a 21-year-old striker who had a solid first season at Club Brugge.

The youngster was born in Cagliari to an Italian father and a German mother, so he holds dual citizenship. After moving to Germany, he joined Hoffenheim’s academy and was eventually promoted to the first team in 2022.
Last summer, Club Brugge poached his services for €7.5 million and tied him to a contract valid until June 2029.
The source notes that Roma tried to bring Tresoldi back to Italian soil, but saw their €35 million (or £30 million) offer rejected as the Belgian champions are determined to keep the Italo-German attacker. Hence, only an irresistible offer could lure the player out of Brugge.
Is Tresoldi the right profile for Man Utd?
In Sesko, Man Utd have a young and rising striker who is only 23. Therefore, INEOS would ideally pair him with a more experienced centre-forward.
Another solution could be bringing in a versatile player capable of filling various roles across the final third.
Moreover, the club is unlikely to spend big on a new attacker following last summer’s £200 million revamp (on Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo).
And with Club Brugge placing a hefty price tag on Tresoldi, a deal might be implausible this summer.
