Manchester United have already welcomed several new faces to Old Trafford ahead of the upcoming Premier League season. They were forced to wait a while to confirm their first arrival, with a deal to sign Atalanta midfielder Ederson collapsing at the eleventh hour. United ended up signing Andrey Santos from Chelsea before following up with the £35million capture of Aston Villa playmaker Youri Tielemans.

They have also recruited Karl Darlow to boost their goalkeeping ranks in addition to young winger Tynan Thompson, who arrived in a deal worth up to £8m earlier this week. United won't stop there, though, with Michael Carrick eager to add more quality to his squad ahead of his first full season in charge.

Express Sport looks at four players who should be next on United's list of transfer priorities...

Manu Kone

It's been widely reported that United want to sign a third central midfielder and they could do far worse than to land Kone, who enjoyed a stellar World Cup and should be more than capable of impressing in the Premier League.

Reports from Italy have suggested that the Roma playmaker could be available for around £51m, making him far cheaper than the likes of Adam Wharton and Aurelien Tchouameni.

Lewis Hall

United could also improve at left-back, given that Luke Shaw is their only real option in the position at the moment. He isn't getting any younger and would benefit from some extra help over the course of next season.

Newcastle defender Hall would be the ideal signing, given that he is already Premier League proven and could share the load with Shaw before eventually replacing him.

He wouldn't be cheap, though, with the Magpies reportedly demanding up to £60m in exchange for his signature.

Victor Osimhen

The signing of a top-class striker should also be on United's agenda, with an injury to Benjamin Sesko having the potential to derail their efforts next season.

Step forward Victor Osimhen, who has long been hailed as one of Europe's most feared marksmen but has never tested himself in the Premier League.

He is said to be high on United's list of summer targets, but it remains to be seen whether his nine-figure asking price will be too expensive for the Red Devils.

Micky van de Ven

United could also improve in central defence, with Van de Ven able to shine in the middle of their back four. His blistering pace, excellent positioning and ball-playing ability make him well-suited to United's playing style under Carrick.

The towering Dutchman also has an imposing aerial presence and would be the perfect replacement for Matthijs de Ligt, if the injury-prone defender is moved on between now and the start of the new campaign.
