A Leeds United star has had significant help from Juventus ahead of the new season.
Leeds United new boy Tarik Muharemovic says he’s been significantly helped by Serie A giants Juventus ahead of his first foray into Premier League football.
Leeds have spent £34m to make Bosnia and Herzegovina international centre-back Muharemovic the club’s second most expensive signing ever, the defender joining the Whites on a five-year deal from Serie A side Sassuolo.
Muharemovic made 32 appearances for newly-promoted Sassuolo during the 2025-26 Serie A campaign to help the team to a very respectable 11th-placed finish.
But the club initially signed the defender on loan from Serie A giants Juventus where Muharemovic says he learned plenty in his ongoing football education - particularly from legendary defensive pair Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci plus former boss Massimiliano Allegri.

Muharemovic joined Juve from Austrian side Wolfsberger AC as an 18-year-old in August 2021. The defender ultimately left without playing for the first team but with nearly 100 appearances for the club’s youth sides under his belt including the Next Gen team and valuable education too.
Speaking to LUTV about his time at the club, the Whites new boy said: “At Juventus, I learned a lot because I had the chance to train and to learn from Chiellini, from Bonucci, and obviously from great coaches like Allegri and my youth coaches.
“A lot of tactics but a lot of training only for defenders, so I am happy I passed it!
“I played in Austria, I played in Italy and I dreamed of playing in the Premier League.
“It was my dream to play and I am here. It is the best football that you can play in the Premier League. You know how physical it is, how fast a game can go, and here you never know who is going to win the game. I am really happy to be now in England.”
