Paris Saint-Germain set a price tag of €170 million on Sunday for the transfer of their French winger Bradley Barcola during the summer transfer window, amid interest from Liverpool.
A report by RMC Sports stated that "the player rejected a contract extension offer three months ago, leading to a current standstill in negotiations between the two parties."
The report indicated that Paris Saint-Germain is not opposed to selling the player this summer but is demanding a substantial financial offer, while Liverpool is seeking to lower the asking price should they submit a formal bid.
The team's coach, Luis Enrique, confirmed his commitment to retaining players who are dedicated to the club's project, emphasizing that no player is guaranteed a starting position.
