Newcastle United Women have signed goalkeeper Kayla Rendell from Manchester United for the 2026/27 season.
She came through the ranks at Southampton, making 134 appearances and helped the Saints secure promotion to the second tier in the 2021/22 season.
Representing England through to the U-23s, Rendell got her first senior squad call-up in April 2024.
Rendell told newcastleunited.com: “The name speaks for itself, it’s a massive club with a lot of ambition. It was exciting for me to join this part of the journey. I want to help the squad progress to the next level.
“Everyone knows what Newcastle fans are like, I’m excited to be on the Newcastle side and hopefully they can get behind us again this season.”
Manager, Tanya Oxtoby, said: “We are pleased to be adding Kayla to our squad. She is experienced at this level and will provide strong competition for our goalkeeping union.
“She has shown across her career that she is composed when in possession and has outstanding distribution that can support our play. We are looking forward to working with her this season.”
