Alongside Barcola: Liverpool ready to table £43m bid to sign winger compared to Salah - report

Liverpool are preparing a mega offer to sign Juventus star Francisco Conceicao this summer as they look to replace Mohamed Salah, according to Tuttosport.

The Reds have had a quiet summer window so far with Andoni Iraola replacing Arne Slot as manager, and Victor Munoz the only first-team signing so far, alongside the arrival of Jeremy Jacquet, who was signed in January.

But with Salah departing on a free transfer at the end of last season, attacking reinforcements are needed ahead of the new season, and the club have identified a top star as a potential signing.

Liverpool Ready Offer for Conceicao

Conceicao, who has been compared to Salah by Juventus boss Luciano Spalletti, has enjoyed a fine spell in Italy with the Turin club, and shone for Portugal at the World Cup this summer despite their disappointing outing under Roberto Martinez.

That has seen Liverpool take a liking to the 23-year-old, and reports in Italy suggest that they are ready to table a formal bid to bring him to Anfield.

Leaks out of the club have revealed that Liverpool would be prepared to offer €50m (£43m) for the Portugal international this summer, with Juventus facing some financial difficulties which mean they may be forced to sell some first-team stars.

Conceicao is not the only winger target at Anfield this summer, with the club making Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola their number one target.

The French champions have slapped a huge €170m (£145m) price tag on his head, but the player is keen on a move away for more regular first-team football, and there are reports that he has already agreed personal terms with Liverpool.

Conceicao Could Be Top Wildcard Target

Liverpool have got a razor thin squad at the moment, and Iraola has made it clear that he wants fresh faces in to help bolster his options.

Victor Munoz, Cody Gakpo, and Rio Ngumoha are the only first-team winger options currently, so a move for Conceicao alongside Barcola would make a lot of sense, especially considering the fact that Hugo Ekitike is likely to be a long-term absentee following his achilles injury last season.

At around £43m, there is great value in a move for Conceicao, and it could be the perfect signing for Liverpool to help make them competitive in attack again without breaking the bank.
