Man Utd striker Benjamin Sesko is on schedule to return to full fitness before the start of the season.
The Slovenian international remains in rehabilitation following a shin injury that kept him sidelined for the final three games of the 2025/26 campaign.
Sesko picked up the problem prior to the win over Liverpool in early May, but a clash with Ibrahima Konate aggravated things, and he was subsequently forced off at halftime during the 3-2 victory.
The forward could still feature for the Red Devils in pre-season, but it could be another week or so before he is ready to make his comeback.
Expected Return Date – Saturday 8th August vs Paris Saint-Germain
Lisandro Martinez
The centre-back was forced off with a hamstring injury just before halftime in the World Cup final earlier this month.
Martinez was set for a three-week holiday prior to that match, so he would have only returned to training after the friendly against Paris Saint-Germain anyway.
There is an expectation that the defender will still be back before the Premier League campaign begins, although he may not feature in any pre-season matches.
That could make things difficult for manager Michael Carrick, who would have hoped to have Martinez fit and ready for the trip to Hull on the opening day.
Expected Return Date – Saturday 22nd August vs Hull City
