Manchester United are open to offers for Joshua Zirkzee as Juventus, Roma and Como consider moves for the Netherlands forward.
United are not actively attempting to sell Zirkzee and would prefer a permanent transfer. However, the three Serie A clubs are expected to propose loan agreements containing either an option or an obligation to buy.
Joshua Zirkzee is attracting interest from Italy, but any deal is likely to be delayed until Benjamin Sesko returns to full fitness.

Joshua Zirkzee Manchester United exit depends on Sesko
Juventus are understood to have shown the strongest interest in Zirkzee. Roma have followed the forward for several months, while Como could offer Champions League football after finishing fourth in Serie A.
The supplied i Paper report says United will listen to suitable proposals, although there are not yet advanced negotiations with any club.
Zirkzee has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter since joining from Bologna in 2024. He remains popular within the squad and has a close relationship with captain Bruno Fernandes.
The 25-year-old also produced one of his best United moments during Friday’s friendly win over Rosenborg. He carried the ball through the home defence before scoring in a 5-0 victory confirmed by Manchester United.
That performance offered Michael Carrick another reminder of Zirkzee’s technical quality. It did not resolve the wider question surrounding his role, but it underlined the risk of allowing him to leave without signing a replacement.
Benjamin Sesko’s fitness is central to the decision. The Slovenia striker missed the end of last season and may not be available for the opening weeks of the new campaign.
Manchester United say Sesko is progressing with his individual recovery programme, but they have not provided a date for his return.
ReadManUtd previously reported that a Zirkzee exit could be delayed until Sesko is able to train and play without restrictions.
Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Marcus Rashford can all play centrally. None offers the same natural reference point as Sesko or Zirkzee, leaving United with a decision over squad depth.
United continue midfielder and left-back searches
United’s priority remains another central midfielder after the arrivals of Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans.
Manu Koné and Carlos Baleba are among the players under consideration. The supplied report also names Bournemouth midfielder Tyler Adams as a potentially more attainable option.
ReadManUtd reported that Koné remains United’s preferred midfield target. Fabrizio Romano says the club have held concrete discussions with his representatives, but no offer has been submitted to Roma.
Baleba has been admired for more than a year, although Brighton’s valuation continues to complicate any move. United are not currently treating the Cameroon international as their leading option.
Lewis Hall remains of interest at left-back. A source close to the Newcastle United defender has reportedly indicated that he would be open to joining United, but there have been no talks between the clubs.
The forward search will only become active if Zirkzee leaves. Dusan Vlahovic is available on a free transfer following his Juventus departure, while Ollie Watkins remains admired.
Aston Villa are unlikely to accept a fee within United’s preferred range for Watkins. Vlahovic would represent a more affordable short-term option, but Barcelona are also monitoring the Serbia international.
United therefore have several names on their radar rather than six active negotiations. Zirkzee’s position, Sesko’s recovery and the remaining transfer budget will shape which areas are addressed before the window closes.
