Tottenham could face competition from Manchester United for the signing of Germany youth international.
Tottenham Hotspur have already spent a record total this summer, splashing out more than £235million. They are showing no signs of slowing down, even though the incomings have been quiet in the last couple of weeks.
A winger and a centre-forward appear to be on head coach Roberto De Zerbi’s agenda to boost the productivity of the Lilywhites’ attack next season. This has led to Spurs reportedly keeping tabs on Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi.
Nicolo Tresoldi was the top goalscorer in the Belgian Pro League last season, helping Club Brugge lift the league title. He contributed 23 goals and nine assists in all competitions. The Germany Under-21 international seems destined for a move to a big European club after an impressive season with Club Brugge.
Manchester United keeping close tabs on Nicolo Tresoldi
According to a report by Belgian outlet HLN, Manchester United are also keeping a close eye on Tresoldi. He was the subject of a £30m bid from AS Roma earlier in the transfer window, which was immediately rejected by Club Brugge.
It is believed that the youngster has decided to stay at the club for another year so far, but should Manchester United firm up their interest, he’d be open to joining them this summer. As of now, the Red Devils are following his situation.
Eli Junior Kroupi was a revelation in the Premier League last term. After joining from FC Lorient, the French forward had a strong debut campaign with Bournemouth, netting 13 times in 33 league appearances.
Club insider Paul O’Keefe recently revealed that Spurs have made the signing of Kroupi a priority along with Manchester City’s Savinho. However, with Bournemouth demanding over £80m to part ways with the 20-year-old, the N17 bosses have identified Tresoldi as an alternative target to Kroupi.
Tresoldi is a talented young striker with vast potential. The Italy-born Germany youth international has the mix of technical qualities and physicality to thrive in the hustle and bustle of Premier League football. The youngster will be keen to move to a club where he will get opportunities to play regularly and continue his development.
