Man Utd Girls were 1-0 winners over Liverpool in the group stage of the Budget Energy SuperCupNI 2026.

A first-half strike from Maisie Lewis proved decisive for Manchester United’s youngsters, who had begun by defeating IL Heming 4-1, while Liverpool started with a 3-0 win over Desert Empire Surf.

A hat-trick from Grace Guest helped Northern Ireland sweep aside Chicago City 5-0, while Shamrock Rovers also made an impressive start, with Lara Dallaghan scoring three times in a dominant 6-1 victory over Aston Villa.

Northern Ireland then had to settle for a point against Villa, as Abigail Curley’s effort was called out by Georgia Jagger.

Premier Section group games wrap up today (Wednesday 29 July) with Aston Villa facing Chicago at Chimney Corner, Liverpool playing Heming at Monkstown, and Man Utd meeting Desert Empire Surf at Rathcoole – all kicking off at 3.30pm – before holders Shamrock Rovers take on Northern Ireland Girls with a 7.30pm start at Dixon Park.
