Manchester United are ready to sell Radek Vitek this summer, and now Ineos have a clear example fee to use as the asking price.
Despite excitement around his talent, Radek Vitek is expected to be sold this summer, with Andy Mitten claiming this to be the case months prior to initial links.
The Czech goalkeeper has impressed during pre-season, but Vitek is demanding first-team football and has stated that he wants a move elsewhere to get it, with Senne Lammens United’s first choice.
Vitek was excellent against Rosenborg after being given over 70 minutes, but this week has seen talk of an exit persist. But United are in a good position to demand a significant fee.

Manchester United should now demand at least £22m for Radek Vitek
This week has seen Middlesborough linked with a permanent move for Vitek, while there are also alternative options in the running for his signature.
But those linked won’t be able to afford Vitek, especially with the market now dictating that he could be worth a lot more than the £15m thrown around this summer.
United could use James Trafford’s sale as the precedent for Vitek’s sale, which was £27m last summer, although Trafford’s Premier League experience means it isn’t the perfect comparison.

But now Coventry have paid Brighton £22.5m for Carl Rushworth who was on loan there last season in the Championship, according to The Telegraph.
This fee is the exact minimum United should now be settling for with Vitek this summer.
If the clubs interested can’t pay up then another loan is what United need to be sanctioning, instead of selling cheap to suit other clubs.
£22.5m at least, with a sell on clause or a buy-back is absolutely necessary to show Ineos are a better selling club than the previous.

Vitek should probably go for more than Carl Rushworth
It isn’t a foregone conclusion that Vitek leaves, with Michael Carrick clearly giving him the opportunity to impress this summer, playing more minutes against Rosenborg than any other player.
But if he is to be sold, Rushworth’s fee is the absolute base-line, for a variety of reasons that make Vitek more valuable.
The first factor is that he plays for United, one of the biggest clubs in the world which is in itself worth something.
Contractually, Vitek has two years remaining, while Rushworth only had one. Vitek is also three years younger than Rushworth and last season he was arguably the better goalkeeper.
Vitek prevented 8.5 goals last season in 41 games, compared to Rushworth’s 8.2 in 46 games, as the top two in the Championship.
Letting Vitek leave on the cheap is a big mistake, and this summer’s window is showing Ineos they need to have a certain price tag set for him.
