Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has an interesting history with the final four teams that are left on the Red Devils’ pre-season tour this summer.
The Red Devils travelled to Finland earlier this month and Manchester United lost 1-0 to Wrexham in their opening pre-season match at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium.
Following United’s friendly clash against Wrexham, the Red Devils visited the Lerkendal Stadion in Trondheim and thumped Norwegian outfit Rosenborg.
After Man Utd’s 5-0 win over Rosenborg, Red Devils boss Michael Carrick will cross paths with Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Leeds United and AC Milan.

Man Utd legend Michael Carrick did not face either Paris Saint-Germain or Atletico Madrid as a player
Carrick never experienced what it was like to play against Spanish side Atletico Madrid or French club Paris Saint-Germain before he hung up his football boots.
However, the former United midfielder is familiar with PSG after being part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s backroom staff for the Champions League encounter in 2019.
Carrick watched on as Man Utd overturned a first-leg deficit against the Ligue 1 outfit and sealed a dramatic 3-1 comeback victory at the Parc des Princes.
However, the former Middlesbrough boss is not as familiar with either PSG or Atletico as he is with Leeds and Milan due to his playing experience back in the day.
