Manchester United offered€60m arrival‘in the past few hours’–Mendes at work

Manchester United have signed two midfielders but they still need an attacking signing. Rafael Leao’s candidacy for a transfer has emerged once again.

The AC Milan star is ready to leave the Rossoneri this summer. He struggled in the 2025/26 campaign, as the San Siro club missed out on Champions League qualification.

As a result, agent Jorge Mendes has beenmaking attempts to find him a new club. This has led to Sport Witness covering interest from Tottenham and Aston Villa, who have both made initial contact without making a formal offer.

Talk of a move to Turkey has also grown across the week, and now Manchester United have again emerged as a possibility.

Red Devils interested in another target

Tuttomercatoweb report that Leao has been offered to Manchester United once again ‘in the past few hours’. This comes after an initial approach was made some months ago.

The Red Devils’ stance on the transfer remains the same. They want to pursue other targets and this has led to their interest in Juventus’ Francisco Conceicao.

The right-winger is valued at €50m and is seen as a player who could improve the attack at Old Trafford.

Leao will cost more than Conceicao – €60m.

While Juve aren’t exclusively open to Conceicao’s sale, the right offer will convince them to let him leave.

Our take: Costs of move could be key

Manchester United need someone of Leao’s profile. Conceicao would be just another right-winger, when they already have Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo in the side. Patrick Dorgu can also do a job in that role.

However, as things stand, Leao costs a significant amount. There are doubts about his work-rate and last season showed his weaknesses around his final product.
