Juventus have reportedly reached an agreement to re-sign Randal Kolo Muani on loan with a mandatory obligation to make the move permanent at the end of the season, providing the positive news supporters have been waiting for since last term.
Kolo Muani spent the first half of 2025 on loan in Turin, enjoying a successful spell that convinced Juventus to pursue another deal. The club identified the French forward as a priority target after his impressive performances in Serie A.
Juventus secure Kolo Muani return
Juventus held lengthy negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain over a permanent agreement last summer, but the two clubs were unable to reach a deal. As a result, Kolo Muani instead joined Tottenham on loan for the season.
His spell in England did not develop as expected, but the striker remained eager to return to Serie A and play for Juventus once again. With both clubs now reportedly reaching an agreement, he appears set to complete his return to Turin.
The Frenchman arrives after Juventus lost both Lois Openda and Dusan Vlahovic in recent weeks, giving Luciano Spalletti another attacking option ahead of the new campaign. Journalist Giovanni Capuano believes the signing leaves the Juventus manager with no excuses if the team fails to meet expectations.
Capuano backs Juventus investment
Although Spalletti did not want to lose Vlahovic, who had been the leading striker in the squad, he will now have Kolo Muani available once again. The forward previously demonstrated that he could thrive in Serie A and will be expected to make an immediate impact.
Capuano said, via TuttoJuve:
“In the end, Spalletti had Kolo Muani and, to give it to him, Juventus went so far as to consider investing 50 million euros.
“If he has done well, they will be the right price. If he fails there will be no alibi for the coach.”
Kolo Muani’s return is expected to strengthen Juventus’ attacking options significantly. Having already adapted successfully to Italian football, the French striker will hope to build on his previous spell at the club and help Juventus achieve their objectives during the season ahead.
