Real Madrid consider surprise move for Levante star

The board at Real Madrid have identified a member of the attacking ranks at La Liga rivals Levante as a potential signing this summer.

That’s according to journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon, who highlights Carlos Espí as the player in question.

Striker Espí, for those not familiar with his name, emerged as one of the breakthrough talents in all of Spanish football across the 2025/26 campaign.

On the books of relegation-battling Levante, the 21-year-old racked up a head-turning 13 goals in 27 appearances between La Liga and the Copa del Rey.

Such impressive numbers at such a young age have given rise to inevitable interest in his signature, with Espí having been heavily linked with a Premier League switch across the summer to date.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media on Thursday is anything to go by, then the Spaniard could yet stay put in his home country for next season.

As per a report from the aforementioned Ramón Álvarez de Mon:

‘Real Madrid are considering the option of Carlos Espí for their forward line. The Levante forward seemed headed towards the Premier League, but still without a finalized agreement.’

Real’s sudden interest in Espí comes fresh off [widespread confirmation](https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/2082800841208086975) of Gonzalo García heading to England to link up with former manager Álvaro Arbeloa’s Fulham.
