Recently, the Golden State Warriors swung and missed on LeBron James in free agency, as the former MVP chose to go to the Philadelphia 76ers. Since then, reports emerged from Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic that Stephen Curry might be tired of star chasing, which has been a theme for Golden State over the past couple of seasons.
Now, Warriors power forward Draymond Green has taken to his The Draymond Green Show podcast to weigh in on that report.
“I don't know what the hell Steph's tired of but I do believe is that if Steph was tired of something, that he would say that… He lives for tough conversations,” said Green, per The Draymond Green Show on X, formerly Twitter.

The Warriors have been linked to numerous big names over the past couple of seasons, including Paul George, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and James, but ultimately ended up failing to acquire any of them. Golden State did make a splash by acquiring Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline of the 2024-25 season, but while Butler and Curry have looked great when on the court together, their tenuous health situations have made the partnership fruitless thus far.
At this point, the Warriors seem poised to run back essentially the exact same roster that won 37 games a year ago. Of course, injuries played a big role in that low win total, but that's often the price of business when constructing a core around players in their late 30's. It remains to be seen if Golden State will go hunting for any other big names on the trade market this season.
