Francisco Conceicao celebrates after scoring for Portugal

Manchester United are reportedly interested in Juventus wing Francisco Conceicao as they to bolster their attacking ranks.
This summer, the Red Devils have already signed two midfielders in Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos, in addition to backup goalkeeper Karl Darlow.
However, they have yet to address to their attack, although Marcus Rashford is ‘increasingly likely’ to stay at Carrington following his Barcelona stint, while 18-year-old Tynan Thompson could be fastracked to the first team.
Are Man Utd interested in Francisco Conceicao?
In recent weeks, Man Utd were linked with AC Milan star Rafael Leao. But at this stage, the 27-year-old is more likely to end up in Turkiye.
But according to TuttoJuve, MUFC could still end up a Portuguese winger, as Michael Carrick is a big admirer of ‘Chico’.
The 23-year-old is a youth product of Sporting Club and Porto. He also had an experience at Ajax, before moving to Juventus in the summer 2024.

The second-generation star became an instant fan favourite in Turin thanks to his neat dribbling and never-say-die attitude.
The source insists that Luciano Spalletti will be determined to keep the young Portuguese among his ranks, but Juventus could be tempted to sell should they receive an offer worth €50 million (or £43 million).
Why Conceicao isn’t the profile United need
Man Utd captain Bruno Fernandes is big fan of his international teammate, hailing him as ‘irreverent’, due to his fearless attittude.
However, signing another left-footed right winger is probably the last thing United need at this stage, as this position is well truly covered.
In Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system, Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo used to coexist, but Carrick’s transition to 4-2-3-1 left them vying for one starting role.
Moreover, Shea Lacey, who is now a full-fledged member of the senior squad, also views the right flank as his natural habitat, while some observers believe Patrick Dorgu’s ideal role is also on the right wing.
Therefore, United are highly unlikely to spend on another player for this particular position, especially after closing the door on Amorim’s attempts to reunite with Amad at Milan.
