Manchester United handed London City opener as WSL fixtures confirmed
The Manchester United Women WSL fixtures for 2026/27 have been confirmed, with Marc Skinner’s side beginning the campaign away at London City Lionesses.
United travel to the Copperjax Community Stadium on Friday 4 September, with kick-off scheduled for 7pm BST. The opening match will be shown live on Sky Sports.
The Reds then host Chelsea at the Progress With Unity Stadium on Sunday 13 September before travelling to Arsenal six days later.
West Ham visit United on Sunday 27 September, meaning all four of the club’s opening fixtures have already been selected for television coverage.
The expanded WSL will contain 14 teams this season, giving United a 26-match league schedule.
Birmingham City, Crystal Palace and Charlton Athletic have joined the division. United face Charlton away in October before welcoming the newly promoted club in March.
Manchester City visit United on 25 October, with the reverse derby taking place on 14 February.
One of the standout fixtures will see Arsenal visit Old Trafford on Sunday 9 May. United’s final home match is then against Birmingham before the campaign ends away at Brighton during the weekend of 22 and 23 May.
The complete schedule includes two midweek rounds. United travel to West Ham on 20 January before visiting Liverpool on 17 March.
Skinner’s players have already returned for pre-season training. Their preparations also include a five-day camp in Spain and a behind-closed-doors friendly against Newcastle United.
Dates and kick-off times beyond the opening four fixtures remain subject to broadcast selections and possible changes.
