Manchester United have made contact with super agent Jorge Mendes about a deal to sign one of his forwards, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.
The Red Devils have been prioritising a move to upgrade their midfield options this summer, and have completed the signings of Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, while Karl Darlow and Tynan Thompson have also joined up as part of Michael Carrick's squad for the new campaign.
But the club are also keen to strengthen in attack and in defence this summer, and a move to bolster their winger options has emerged as a reality after they made contact over a deal for a Portugal international.
Man Utd Make Mendes Contact to Sign Conceicao

According to a report in Italy, Man Utd are among the clubs showing the strongest interest in winger Francisco Conceicao.
Conceicao, who has been described as a 'diamond', has been made available for transfer by Juventus this summer after they agreed a deal to sign Kerim Alajbegovic for their winger and attacking midfield positions.
It's understood that while Juventus are sealing a deal for the Bosnian, there were heated discussions with Mendes about the future of Conceicao, who is now going to be allowed to leave the Serie A club as they need to raise funds.
France midfielder Kephren Thuram was initially listed for a move, but he has suffered an injury and will not be able to leave now, which has seen the club select the Portugal international as the next person to move on.
It's reported that Man Utd have already made an approach via Mendes about his availability, and Juventus are now counting on that becoming more concrete to bring in fresh money after agreeing a deal for Randal Kolo Muani alongside Alejbegovic.
Conceicao Could Be Shrewd Signing

Conceicao isn't the most prolific winger around, nor is he the most game-changing signing. But Man Utd's attacking options currently leave them quite thin in case of an injury, and reinforcements are needed.
The 23-year-old has got all the attributes to be an effective player off the wing in the Premier League, and having him competing for a spot alongside the likes of Amad, Matheus Cunha, Marcus Rashford, and Bryan Mbeumo will give Michael Carrick plenty of options.
A deal isn't likely to be too expensive, and it's a position that United have been looking at strengthening for the whole window, so this is one to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
