Juventus have developed an interest in Joshua Zirkzee. Man United are ready to hear proposals for the Dutch forward and would like to sanction a permanent sale. The Serie A side are trying to find a solution to sign Zirkzee on a loan which is having an obligation or option to buy permanently.
Joshua Zirkzee to Juventus is on the cards but is halted
Italian giants Juventus were in touch with Joshua Zirkzee’s camp for a potential move in the summer transfer window. The Bianconeris are aiming to begin the season with a good attacking strength. They want the Man United forward to be part of that attack. The Italian side will try to win the Serie A title this season after being unable to lift the trophy for last 6 seasons.
But there has been some disputes in figuring out a deal. As reported by Football Place, Juventus are determined to bring the Zirkzee in Turin and have started transfer talks with player’s camp. Man United, on the other hand want €35-40m for the forward and are determined to sell him permanently. The Red Devils want to avoid a temporary exit.
The Turin club were also working on a deal with French striker Randal Kolo Muani from PSG. Fabrizio Romano has reported on X that Paris Saint-Germain have accepted a package of €45m from Juventus for Kolo Muani. The 27-year-old will have his medical soon. The Bianconeris still need depth in their attack. But there has been no such reports stating that their pursuit for Zirkzee will stop after agreeing a deal with Kolo Muani.

The financial barrier separating the English and the Italian side
Man United had rejected several loan offers for Zirkzee from other clubs during the winter transfer window. They were adamant to entertain a permanent sale or would have accepted a loan move which includes a mandatory buy clause at the end of the season. The Premier League side are thinking to listen reformed proposals which will guarantee the 26-year-old’s permanent exit. They are not looking to accept a one season loan spell.
As reported by The Sun, the Red Devils need an amount of €25.6m or more than that to sanction a sale for Joshua Zirkzee. Any sale involving less than €25.6m will cause United a financial loss under the new squad cost ratio(SCR) rules and regulations. This is also another reason why the English side is patiently waiting for the right price and suitor.
Juventus have to carefully manage their expenses. They have to deal with a very restricted financial budget which reduces their freedom to spend in the market. The Italian club are looking to sign more defensive reinforcements. This makes it more difficult for the Bianconeri to sign a player which forces them to break their budget. So, they are interested in a loan deal for Zirkzee. United’s aim to settle for something permanent and Juventus’ need to bargain prevent them from reaching an agreement.
Massara and Zirkzee are having mutual interest
As reported by Yahoo Sports, Juventus director Ricky Massara is main behind Juventus’ interest for Zirkzee. He was interested in the Dutch forward when he was Roma’a director. Simultaneously, Zirkzee also wants a move back to Serie A. He has failed to adapt to Premier League football in England with Man United. Zirkzee’s minutes were also reduced after Sesko, Cunha and Mbeumo’s arrivals. He believes he can get back his form in Italy and wants a return.
