According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, transfer talks between Real Madrid and RB Leipzig over winger Yan Diomande have largely stalled during the last 24 hours.
The sudden block in communication occurred because the German club has not yet responded to Los Blancos’ latest financial offer, a delay that has caused significant surprise among senior executives in the Spanish capital.
Because of the silence from the board, the Bundesliga club’s coaching staff has moved forward with their standard summer planning.
Leipzig’s current plan is for the 19-year-old the Ivory Coast international to fly with the rest of the first-team squad to their pre-season training camp in Austria today, Saturday
Diomande has been formally informed of this decision by club directors, but the player is still actively hoping to avoid traveling.

He is waiting for a final decision on Saturday morning regarding whether he must board the flight or if he will be permitted to stay behind to finalise his future.
Despite the sudden standstill between the club boards, the transfer remains on track, and Diomande’s personal stance is completely transparent.
The young attacker wants a move to Real Madrid this summer and has already mentally moved on from his life at Leipzig.
If he is ultimately forced to travel to Austria this weekend, his clear intention is not to take part in full team training sessions with Leipzig.

He plans to protect his physical fitness and avoid any risk of injury while he waits for the two teams to resolve their valuation differences.
Diomande is hoping that Real Madrid and Leipzig can reach an agreement soon to conclude the deal, having already verbally agreed to personal contract terms with the Merengues.
Real Madrid remain very keen on signing the winger, who excelled in Germany last season by scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists.
This weekend is viewed by all parties as a crucial period for the transfer saga.
Real Madrid executives intend to re-establish active contact with Leipzig immediately to break the deadlock and prevent the player from integrating into the German team’s pre-season camp.

Real Madrid have seemingly reached a point of saturation on the Vinicius Jr. renewal front, for talks with the player have stalled for months.
Despite submitting multiple proposals, the player continues to hold out for a superior economic offer – one that the club deem impractical.
On that front, they conveyed to Vinicius’ entourage earlier this week that their last offer will be their final one and that the player can take it or leave it – hoping to put an end to the entire saga at the earliest.
As reported by El Larguero (h/t The Madrid Zone) now, Real Madrid have decided that they will not enter the month of January without having the Brazilian’s future finalised. Reaching a definitive stance on his future by 2026 is a top priority.

Real Madrid are keeping all scenarios open as matters stand, including a renewal and a departure this summer if the player desires one. Arsenal are pushing to sign him, and the player does not seem opposed to a move either.
Already on the final year of his contract, Real Madrid are walking on thin ice with Vinicius as matters stand. As of January, he will be open to negotiating with external clubs over a free transfer and that has likely led to the club’s new deadline.
The Spanish outlet once again reaffirms that Vinicius’ desire is to stay at the club. However, Los Blancos are not willing to bend to his terms to get him to stay.

If the winger does indeed wish to renew, his demands must align with the club’s offer, and he must open up to a position of compromise. After all, there is currently a sizeable distance between both parties and neither is willing to budge.
The ball is now entirely in the player’s court, and he has one of three options to take. He can look to push for a departure from Real Madrid to a club that meets his economic demands, or else can compromise and agree on a renewal.
The third, and least preferred option, is to stay without renewing and run down his contract in which case the club will not hand him the prominence he used to have.
