Man United expect Bayern Munich approach for star striker
Manchester United are facing fresh interest in Benjamin Šeško after Bayern Munich identified the striker as a potential long-term successor to Harry Kane.
ESPN reports that Bayern have placed Šeško on their shortlist as they begin planning for life after Kane.
The England captain remains Bayern’s leading striker, but at 33 the Bundesliga champions are assessing younger options who could eventually replace him.
Manchester United are understood to be aware of the growing interest with the summer transfer window still open.

Šeško remains an important part of Michael Carrick’s plans after scoring 12 goals during his first season at Old Trafford.
The Slovenia international is currently building towards full fitness after a shin problem disrupted the end of last season. ReadManUtd recently reported that Šeško has returned to grass work as part of his pre-season programme.
United have previously resisted interest in the 23-year-old and there is currently no indication that their position has changed.
Bayern’s interest is also centred on succession planning rather than an immediate agreement. No bid, proposed fee or personal terms have been reported.
That distinction is important. United are not actively attempting to sell Šeško and Carrick needs recognised centre-forward options ahead of the club’s Champions League return.
Joshua Zirkzee could still leave before the transfer window closes, while United have also explored another striker addition to increase the competition in attack.
Losing Šeško would therefore create another significant recruitment problem.
For now, Bayern’s interest is one for United to monitor rather than evidence of an imminent transfer. Their position could become more important if the German champions decide to turn that admiration into a formal offer.
