Manchester United are looking to continue adding to Michael Carrick's squad this summer, with Roundtable understanding that the club have planned talks with Newcastle surrounding left-back Lewis Hall.
The club have already made three first-team signings this summer, with Andrey Santos arriving from Chelsea for a £50 million package, while the club also activated Youri Tielemans' £35 million release clause to bring him from Aston Villa.
At the same time, Karl Darlow was signed on a free contract as a back-up goalkeeper to Senne Lammens after the Welsh international's contract with Leeds United expired at the end of June.
While it's widely appreciated that the club must look to sign a third midfielder this summer alongside Santos and Tielemans, United are also investigating the possibility of improving the squad elsewhere, too.

Earlier this summer, Roundtable revealed that United's Director of Football, Jason Wilcox, is a huge admirer of the England international and has prominently featured him in recruitment meetings this year.
Further, Roundtable now understands that United has planned talks with Hall's current club, Newcastle, regarding a potential transfer this summer.
Sources state that contact with the 21-year-old's camp have already taken place, and he is the clear first-choice target at left back.
Although Newcastle's recent change of head coach, with Eddie Howe departing and Matthias Jaissle set to be installed in the position, has led fans to feel a transfer could be a possibility, United acknowledge it's a difficult deal to pull off financially.

Hall is a must if Amass goes
It has been reported in the media that, amid United Academy star Harry Amass not putting pen to paper on a new deal, the young left-back has been told he is unlikely to feature for United next season.
It has also been perpetuated in the media that the club would be open to selling the player if a suitable offer comes through.
If Amass is to leave, then signing Hall as a first-team left-back becomes an instant must for the Old Trafford club.
United's only senior natural left-back at the club is Luke Shaw, but with Champions League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup football back at Old Trafford next season, the 31-year-old will not be able to start every fixture.
Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui have previously shown they can perform at left-back and some feel Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu's long-term future may lie in the position, but United need gaurentees.
The club are looking to make significant progress in all four competitions next season, and if they want to achieve their long-term goals under Carrick, the Reds must look to secure Hall as their long-term solution to the left-back problem.
