Juventus considered Alexander Sorloth as one of their attacking targets during the current transfer window as the Bianconeri looked to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
The Bianconeri have remained active in the transfer market, seeking to add high-quality players capable of improving the team. Reinforcing the attack became an important objective following the departure of Dusan Vlahovic, who had been the club’s leading striker for several seasons.
Juventus Turn to Alternative Targets
Sorloth was viewed as one of the leading forwards available, and Juventus believed he could help fill the gap left by Vlahovic. The Serbian had been an important figure under Luciano Spalletti, with the manager keen to keep him at the club before his contract situation led to his departure.
However, Juventus and Vlahovic were unable to reach an agreement over a new contract, forcing the club to explore alternative options in the transfer market. Sorloth emerged as a possible replacement, but the proposed move now appears increasingly unlikely.
According to TuttoJuve, a combination of factors has prevented Juventus from progressing with a deal for the striker. The report states that the club’s new chief executive does not consider Sorloth a priority and has instead focused attention on securing the signing of Randal Kolo Muani.
Atletico Madrid Stance Complicates Deal
Another significant obstacle is Atletico Madrid’s position regarding the striker’s future. The Spanish club has not opened the door to his departure, making negotiations considerably more difficult for Juventus.
With those factors working against the transfer, the Bianconeri are now expected to concentrate their efforts on alternative attacking options as they continue reshaping the squad.
Juventus remain determined to strengthen their forward line before the transfer window closes, but current circumstances suggest that Sorloth is unlikely to arrive in Turin. Unless Atletico Madrid’s position changes or Juventus alter their transfer strategy, the Norwegian forward appears set to remain with his current club while the Italian side pursue other solutions to bolster their attack for the season ahead.
