Michael Carrick
Manchester United have agreed a deal within the 'last few hours' to loan a first team star to Spain as Michael Carrick continues to shape his squad for the 2026/27 season.
The Red Devils have enjoyed a proactive start to the window with marquee arrivals in Andrey Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa.
Carrick has also breathed new life into his goalkeeping department, with Karl Darlow snapped on a free transfer from Leeds United in an impressive coup, given that the shot-stopper made 22 top-flight appearances for the Whites last term. The 35-year-old's arrival has opened the door for Altay Bayindir to leave the club.

Spanish outlet Metropolitano reports that Bayindir is on the verge of completing a loan move to La Liga outfit Celta Vigo.
The Spanish side has been locked in negotiations with Man Utd and a breakthrough has now been made with just minor details to be ironed out.
On Saturday, it was claimed that the loan agreement was reached in 'the last few hours' with just papers to be signed before an announcement is made. It will be Celta Vigo's fourth signing of the summer, following Aleix Febas, Javi Galán and Abdoulaye Faye.
Bayindir, who has been described as 'very fast', will compete for the starting spot against Ionuț Radu. The Romanian played the entire La Liga campaign for Celta last season, racking up 4,500 minutes across all competitions.
Celta are expected to announce the signing of Bayındır next week with the player travelling to Italy to join up with pre-season preparations. The Spanish side only made an opening offer for the player at the end of July with negotiations progressing quickly between the two sides.
Bayindir Present against Atletico Madrid

Bayindir was included in the Man Utd squad to face Atletico Madrid in a friendly on Saturday afternoon. Veteran Tom Heaton started that game, with Radek Vitek another option on the bench.
Senne Lammens remains first choice at Old Trafford but did not make the squad with the Belgium international having returned to training later than teammates following his exploits at the World Cup.
The 24-year-old ousted Bayindir from the starting XI at Man Utd after six league matches last season. The Turkey international failed to keep a clean sheet in those matches, conceding three goals against both Manchester City and Brentford - the trip to the Gtech Community Stadium in late September was the last time he played for the side.
Bayindir arrived at Man Utd from Fenerbahçe in 2023 for £4.3 million but has only made 17 appearances for the club. The goalkeeper is in the final 12 months of his contract, which is due to expire next summer.
