The Golden State Warriors have had a rather disappointing offseason. They missed out on stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jaylen Brown and LeBron James.
Ultimately, they re-signed their core players in order to embrace continuity, as Draymond Green, Gary Payton II and De'Anthony Melton returned to the team.
According to an article by Marcus Thompson II of the Athletic, Warriors' next season relies on Stephen Curry completely carrying the team.
As there are no blockbuster moves in sight for Golden State to improve their roster, they will have to wait until Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody return from injury, so that Curry can share the load that he is set to carry.
"Moody has been rehabbing in the Bay Area. He’s targeting September to resume running and returning to on-court work," Thompson II revealed.
With this in mind, a significant part of the season will have to rely on 38-year-old Curry if Golden State want to make the playoffs next year.

Could Curry leave for another team?
Despite no indication from the superstar guard himself, many have speculated that Curry could leave the Warriors following their disappointing summer.
However, recently, an Eastern Conference powerhouse has emerged in talks as a potential destination.
Sports Illustrated Boston Celtics beat writer John Karalis believes Boston president of basketball operations Brad Stevens would immediately contact the Warriors if Curry became available.
"There's no doubt Brad Stevens has already been on the phone with the Warriors brass to pitch a deal if they want one," Karalis wrote.
"I think the current CBA demands cold-hearted decision-making, and trading Curry would be as cold as it gets. It would also be smart to get some assets for him while they can. Boston has some, and a path to making a decent deal for both sides."
While a deal is far from developing, Curry in Boston would make the Celtics one of the best and most interesting teams to watch in the NBA.
