The Golden State Warriors are fully looking forward to seeing Moses Moody make new major steps in his ongoing injury recovery.
Per Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic, the Warriors' talented wing man is aiming to make a highly anticipated return to on-court work for the team in September.
Moody notably suffered a torn patellar tendon in his left knee in late March.
"Moody has been rehabbing in the Bay Area. He’s targeting September to resume running and returning to on-court work," the report indicated.
Moses Moody set for on-court work return in September for Warriors
Moses Moody suffered a torn patellar tendon in his left knee last March during the 2025–26 regular-season win by the Golden State Warriors over the Dallas Mavericks.
After going up for a fast-break dunk, his left knee buckled in a non-contact injury. He had to be taken off the court on a stretcher.
Moody averaged career-highs of 12.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 steal per game while shooting 40.1% from three-point range across 60 appearances. His devastating season-ending injury served as one of the brutal elements of the Dubs' forgettable season, as Golden State failed to reach the NBA Playoffs after being eliminated by the Phoenix Suns in the Play-In Tournament.
While there is no set date for his return yet, his progress in September will determine whether he is fully capable of playing for the Dubs to start the upcoming 2026-27 season.
