Manchester United's transfer window has hit somewhat of a lull but the arrival of a new week could bring some new faces with it

Manchester United can complete seven transfers this week with a host of stars reportedly on the chopping block. A shock move for an Arsenal defender could also be on the cards.
So far this summer, Michael Carrick has welcomed three senior arrivals to Old Trafford. Andrey Santos was poached from Chelsea for £50million, Karl Darlow signed after his Leeds United deal expired and Youri Tielemans' £35m Aston Villa release clause was triggered.
However, there is sure to be more business done with the new Premier League season now on the horizon. The Manchester Evening News takes a look at seven transfers that United could complete as early as this week.
Myles Lewis-Skelly
United's desire to sign a left-back this summer is no secret and the club have held an interest in Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly for some time. But The Independent is reporting that United are now investigating whether a deal would be possible.

Last season, Lewis-Skelly found himself playing sparingly, and speculation began to swirl that United could attempt to lure him away from the Emirates. Alas, the 19-year-old soon found a place in midfield.
But if Arsenal can complete a deal for Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes this week, then that could congest the midfield further and mean, once again, the young Englishman will struggle for minutes.
Any sale would represent pure profit under Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations as far as Arsenal are concerned. Although the deal would be difficult to negotiate, the stars could align.
Manu Kone and Marcus Rashford
Elsewhere, United's own midfield has undergone a revamp this summer after the arrivals of Tielemans and Santos, but they still want to add one more player to their ranks in this position.
Roma's Manu Kone, who impressed for France at the World Cup, is a reported target and Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Marcus Rashford could head in the opposite direction to help a deal get done.

The English forward spent last season on loan with Barcelona but is stuck in limbo after the club opted not to trigger a £26m buy option. He could now remain at United, but neither the club nor the player wish this to happen.
Roma need a winger but are currently restricted by FFP, so a swap deal could benefit both parties, as Rashford seeks pastures new and United pursue another midfield addition this week. Kone is valued at £51m.
Radek Vitek
Last week, it was reported that four United youngsters have been deemed surplus to requirements. One of those was Czech goalkeeper Radek Vitek, who has been playing a part in pre-season.

The Manchester Evening News understands that there is a lot of interest in the 22-year-old shot-stopper and he is likely to leave on a permanent deal. He spent last season on loan at Bristol City.
Harry Amass
Another potential outgoer could be Harry Amass. The left-back has been featuring for Carrick in pre-season and has performed admirably when called up in place of Luke Shaw.
However, he has received interest from the Championship and is reportedly valued at around £6m by United. It is understood Amass' camp are considering options ahead of the new campaign and both Patrick Dorgu and Noussair Mazraoui are ahead of him in the pecking order.
Dan Gore
Midfielder Dan Gore has struggled with injuries over the past few seasons and spent last term with Rotherham United, where he featured in the middle of the park.
Yet he has been told his best chance of playing this campaign is with the Under-21s and he could be another player sold should the right offer come in. Middlesbrough have been rumoured suitors.

Toby Collyer
Another academy graduate, Toby Collyer, spent last season on loan with Hull City and despite showing glimpses, he could also leave in the summer window.
It is understood that if the right offer comes in for Collyer, he will be sold permanently, as he wants senior football and has been tipped by coaches to become an established Premier League player.
